Averaged 20 a piece on 84 beavers, thought that was a fair price.

I heard rumors beaver prices were coming back up, at least that was the excuse for the falling castor prices.

Any trappers in Perry, GA tommorrow and on the rest of Gary's buying route into SC, NC.....are gonna be very pleased with beaver prices and feel pretty good about southern bobcat prices.

I've never sold a skint/frozen raw beaver pelt for $40, or $32, or $20....until now.

I wish I had of hammered them.

Beaver market is getting fascinating. $40 and down for southern beaver.....raw frozen pelts....not dried.

I only had 8 bcats....dried.....$60 and down.

I’ll be there in the morning. Kind of wish I would have trapped the beaver near the house like I talked about doing. Oh well, just a handful of critters for me to bring up there.

He’s got a bit of a problem on his hands…super late spring harvest season up north will drastically reduce the offering. Maybe he should have thought about paying the trapper on the earlier routes. Maybe start to think about offering what they’re worth in the beginning of season! Boys, he’s a con artist!! Treat him like it!!

Northern trapper's don't understand what JUNK we have for fur down here, especially cut up bit up beaver!

I had two junk cat's i think it was 1984, got a 15.00 offer per pelt at the tri state fur sale held in Montgomery that year, never seen so much fur before or since!

Shipped them along with my fox to Geo. I. Fox in New York, one cat brought 60.00 the other 35.00! And they were medium crap cats!

Seriously....GFWC seems to act on the current status of the market just like any other buyer(s.)

I dont understand how that is a con.

All depends on the market…if he has a market for southern beaver at that price all the more to him…don’t expect to come up here and cream the crop at hatter prices. I’ve seen enough of his BS to know better.

It was GFW putting out vids last year saying to get out there and hammer beaver, start early and go to the end, the warehouses are empty.

If the prices we're currently being paid are hatter prices then yall up north might need to accept that your beaver are hatters too....which MOST currently are. There is no "cream of the crop."
