My lovely wife purchased me a garmin livescope and fish finder. Anyone have any experience installing one. I’m pretty mechanical and electric inclined. Is this a do it yourself project or ago ahead and pay an expert to install. Eric

Go for it. Lots of stuff out there to assist you. With it you’ll probably need a dedicated power source, Perko on-off switch, marine grade wire and connectors. Like I say, lots of help out there.

That's a cool unit. Your going to have a lot of fun using it. YouTube can probably help you with the install.

Thanks for the response. I have purchased a amped outdoors lithium battery to power the unit. Eric

Is that the one you can see a crappie jig falling and even stationary and then see a fish come up and hit it? If so, those are cool as heck! Fished in guys crappie boat with one of those.

Wanna be it is. I fished on my friends boat with one and I was hooked. Seems like a game changer for crappie
