Here in MI our mandatory helmet law was changed in 2012 to no helmet required if over 21.

My brother's state did require them by law, and he was wearing one, but it didn't save him.

I'm all for motorcycle helmets. I figure it saved my life after the crash I took once.

Wait till the self driving cars start picking them off one day. Probably will be electric and neither horse or Amish will hear them coming

More like there are many, many more buggies on the state highways here in the last 5-10 years.

WV yes. BUT it would not help the way the CAR Drivers operate!!! My Brother had a lady come up on an on ramp on I-79 and took out his back Tire. He lived but lost 60% of the use of his left arm which cost him his Baseball scholarship for College.

God please keep they 19 fallen UBB miners out of trouble up there.

Safety equipment should be a personal freedom issue. However, do-gooders don't see it that way. frown

I don't know , my college room mate was ABATE or I wouldn't know anything about it , but that was a big deal back then.

I haven't ridden in years , never did have a license , I much prefer to stay away from the plethora of stupid drivers on the road and just ride off road.

and I did wear a brain bucket

I have lost relatives in motorcycle crashes , we can leave it as speed and alcohol may have been a factor with and without a helmet
