Public school funding is a whole different can worms. I never see a way it's going to be fair for everyone. People who own property never have kids pay their whole life for their 12 years of school. Then they pay again for a tec college or college they never attended.
So people complaing about cost of sending kids to private school paying twice. Don't sit well with me. Then I seen people laugh about getting a bunch of deductions on their income tax for their little idiots. While people with no children pay more.
All that's has nothing to do with what any kids learns in class room or who schools them.

Mac

We pay taxes...most of us...for all sorts of thing things we may or may not agree with. Abortion prior to the Hyde Amendment and war come to mind. The abortion dollars followed the patient to the clinic of her choice. War dollars were and are moved more or less at the discretion of the whatever popularity politicians could/can muster for their chosen conflict.

The tax dollars are portable, except when it comes to school choice.

100% True. Teachers are fighting an uphill battle trying to educate some of these disrespectful brats today.

A lot of us would like to lay our heads on our pillows at night without fear of what our government is doing to us by day. I have the same concern about public education. The concern is well-founded.

I don't need some blue haired Sodom and Gomorrah reincarnation teaching my children.
Homeschooling or Christian school for us. Depending what we can afford

HA HA HA!! Weird is Men thinking they are a woman and then wanting to compete as a woman. WEIRD is what these leftist WANT!!! Seems like that is not Home Schooled but more BS from BC!!! I just wonder how many actual Home schooled kids he actually knows. My Guess is VERY FEW!!!!

randall, I'm not sure if you went to public school or private school, but they sure did teach you how to use capital letters and exclamation points grin

It was said before by someone here. Our schools are run like the old German model. Make them just smart enough to run the machines. Our public schools stink. I don't blame teachers. It comes from higher up.

I have no idea where all these things you say are being taught are actually being taught. I taught fifteen years and never saw it but maybe I wasn't in the class as. Much as you.

I indoctrinated my kids. Society told them different. It didn't take society long to convince them I was wrong.

You do realize there are other school systems besides the one you were in right?
