I have been thinning out some saplings and making wood chips for Missus Scuba1 and while I was at it, had a little look around.

Prepping the garden for the upcoming season and putting wood chips into the walkways to keep the weeds down.

Yup my favorite time of the year is just about to begin.

When you have burnt the last log in the stove for the cold season and the birds are beginning to sound a little carper that usual, the sun does not just give light but some warmth. Birds are getting busy collecting the hairs I brush out of the dogs for that extra bit of comfort in their nests. .... and the admirals honey do list gets updated on a day to day basis. Ya just know that spring is on its way

Those are some nice pics. You must have a good camera or a good camera on your phone.

Thanks for posting.

I seen big flock pelicans here on river Monday. Is still ice in shaded back bays. Snow on north side of hills and such. But then pelicans are usually last of the bigger water birds back.
Think I see just a little bit of my ramps peeking out here in yard and I know right where to look. . So be even bit longer before one in woods will show.

Its just my phone and a ready hand .... Having said that, phones have come a long way in the last few years as far as their built in cameras go. I use an I Phone 13 pro . It has a dedicated macro lens built in

I had -1 this morning, expecting rain turning to snow later today and through much of Friday ending on Saturday. Still got 18" of snow on the ground in my yard. Don't need anymore.

Must be nice to eat ice cream as fast as you want and not have to worry about brain freeze.

I won't be able to garden till the first of July if then. Still got a foot of snow and 3 inches of ice under that. Just won't warm up.
Snowing hard and 30 mph wind now
