Even if we try to keep the dollar a float through war, I don't know if we have the supplies and the military capable to support such a war. I heard recently that both military equipment and recruitment are at all time lows in the US.

Once the US dollar is no longer the world's petrodollar, it's going to.get ugly fast.

FWIW, Russia, China, India, Saudi Arabia, and Pakistan all just signed a joint security and economic resolution, and energy sales in yuan have begun.

Their policies and greed have almost destroyed this country but the power they want over the world will have them needing to have their dollar as the bench mark. Their greed is cutting them on both sides.

But if the petrodollar fails, then they won’t be able to print money that is worth anything, inflation will skyrocket correct? Say worse case that does happen, what is the best thing to do with money in the savings account right now?

No idea, but yes, inflation will be BAD.

Chancey, I thought food already was. Had 20 chicks delivered today and building on the garden.

It is J Staton, but I don't think we've seen nothing yet as for as food prices.

Chicks here are going for $4-5 for newborns. A laying hen will run you $25-30 bucks!

US is soft. We hold it against other countries if they dont live up to our expectations. China doesnt care - they support any country for what they have to give in return - they dont care about how the other country treats its people. Not saying you shouldnt have morals - just saying in this day and time - there are consequences if you do. China is putting all the pieces of the puzzle together, while the US is throwing pieces of the puzzle away.

This is where I think we'll be headed if the petro dollar fails. Gonna need good friends, family, and neighbors that have all sorts of skills. I can trap a bunch of stuff for food, and know just about every wild plant for food and medicine, and am pretty handy with a big garden, but I can't weld, mechanic, or do carpentry for nothing. Be a lot of bartering going on, I reckon.
