Have you actually read that? All 80 books of it? It's basically unreadable, I've tried.

No , only the kjv , the other two are just for study references.
If you're speaking of the original AV , including the apocrypha.. then no I have not read it all.

There have been about 250 revisions to the KJV over the years including the dropping of the 14 apocrypha books. Today's is readable, like many other modern translations, but the 1611 is not. I don't have as much trust in the KJV as I do in the NAS or better yet the ESV, because the KJV has such as strong roman catholic and church of England influence by the translators. Many people are loyal to the KJV without understanding its history. But it was the best we had for several hundred years.

I would be hard put to say the best three but these would be in my top 10.
These are books I have re-read many times over the years.

In no particular order:

Drums Along The Mohawk by Walter Edmonds
The Frontiersman by Alan Eckert
The Winds of War by Herman Woulk

I love reading and probably have close to 1000 books. But these three I have read numerous times cause I like horror and apocalyptic novels……

1. The Stand - Stephen King
2. Carrion Comfort - Dan Simmons
3. Swan Song - Robert McCammon

I suppose these are the top because I have read them in the past year so they are fresh in my mind, but I could name two dozen more than I really like.

That Man eaters series is fantastic. Highly recommend!!

I read everything from classics, to horror, biographies, history, romance, suspense, how to, etc. But my favorite books are all ones that would be considered for young adult readers. I've worn out several copies of all three of the books listed below.

1) Where the Red Fern Grows by Wilson Rawls.
2) Haunt Fox by Jim Kjelgaard
3) Stormy by Jim Kjelgaard.

Most all of my other favorites also would fall into that young adult category and include EVERYTHING by Jim Kjelgaard, Sterling North's Wolfling and Rascal, most all of Fred Gipson's books, Rim of the Ridge by Cena C. Draper, The Yearling by Marjorie Kinnan Rawlings, Charles G. D. Robert's Red Fox, Gary Paulsen books, Jack London books, My Side of the Mountain, etc

Decent into madness. Draft dodger who buggered off to northern BC bush and lost his marbles.
Unflinching: The Making of a Canadian Sniper
Eat your weakest man. Canadian Airborne Regiment guy who drifted to the wrong side of the law. CAR guys were hard as eff!
All true stories. I hate reading a good book and finding out it was the figment of someone’s imagination.
