I've read most people are more afraid of public speaking than they are of dieing. I believe it.

Ron...tell them what Christ did for you and be specific. How Jesus revealed Himself to you and the before and after. I bet you'll develop a natural flow. I'm not fond of public speaking but sharing my testimony is something I enjoy doing.

I understand the uncertainty of speaking in public As a volunteer for a local Pheasants Forever chapter I would give presentations about pheasant biology; habitat needs; predators etc . When I first started giving those presentations to youth groups, sportmans clubs, campers ,etc I Would BE SO NERVIOUS I thought I would throw up But it quickly became easy I would try to involve the group into my talk by asking question to the group That started the group into paying more attention to what I was saying If I was ask a question I did not know the answer to I would simply say I did not know the answer. And then again involve the group by asking if anyone else might know By involving the group it turns your lecture into a discussion and a conversation . It got to the point that I started to enjoy going out and doing my presentations and it became some of the most fulfilling time I spent as a PF volunteer To learn to enjoy public speaking you only need to have a reasonably good knowledge of what your subject is . Understand it is OK to say you do not know an answer to the question that you might be ask . And also understand that you are ask to talk to a group because you have more knowledge than most other people .So know your subject ,Ask questions and involve the audience . If you break it down into those 3 categories public speaking is as easy as talking to a friend

I believe so. But , it is very spendy. I did it over 25 years ago and the cost was $2200. Last I heard it was $4-5k.
Luckily for me my employer at the time paid for it. With that said , if I had to pay out of pocket for it , I would. 100% worth it.

Since I have taken it , and applied it and fully grown with it , I have NO fear of public speaking now. I would have no problems with a group of 50 , 500 or 50,000.

I have spoken to groups as big as a hundred or two hundred. I actually enjoy it now.

At one time I was also terrified to speak to a crowd until I obtained a job in education in which I had to speak in front of crowds up to 300. I made sure I knew my subject well. One trick that worked for me was I knew I could easily talk to a an individual one on one. Therefore, I put it in my mind I was talking to each person in the crowd as an individual.

God is good. 280 men in attendance at the service. I had a peace and calm during. The message. 40 people accepted Christ. We also gave out 31 bibles. The service was rebroadcast on You tube " Oil City Good Friday Laymen's service 2023 "
