54 lb sturgeon on 15lb test.
Took a long time to land it.About an hour and 15 minutes and a hairy canoe ride in swift deep water to keep it from stripping all the line..

A 3lb 1oz yellow perch. I caught it when I was 7 years old and won 1st place in a contest of mostly all grown male fishermen. We ate the fish at the contest's fish fry... and later found out it would have been a state record!

swampgas chili and schmidt beer makes for a deadly combo

12 lb 3 oz bowfin (dogfish) in an anything goes fishing tournament. That nasty fish helped me win the tournament. Caught it in the last 5 minute. Next tournament after that was changed to bass, walleye or northern pike only.

I didn't enter into the pool that day , I should have , I would have easily won the pot.

A 20 and a couple lb Flathead, approx 36 in, released as a breeder, likely loaded with Chlordane and Mercury!

80 lb tarpon on a hand line when I was 10 years old. I still have scars on my fingers. That was on the bay of the San Juan river on the border of Costa Rica and Nicaragua. Trolling in a dug out canoe.

My fear of moving stairs is escalating!
