Anyone ever used Frogg Toggs hip boots? I'm not a big water trapper but do catch a few beaver for bait and like to keep a pair in the truck incase in need to go in the water over my regular rubber boots. They seem priced right for an okay "occasional boot." Anyone ever put them to the test?

Yes I have a pair. Seems like I paid 40 bucks for them off Amazon. I don't buy expensive hip waders and it seems like these are as good as any of the others I've bought through the years. I get a 3 or 4 years out of a pair before they start leaking then I go but another pair.

I got a pair of frogg toggs.. worst hip boots I ever wore. I will say, I am not sure what model they are, but the are all rubber in the foot without a steel arch support.. I feel every rock I step on.. My feet hurt the entire time I wear them. They are terrible. I will have new ones for next year. Mine were close to $80..... No more Toggs.....

Best waders I've had yet for trout fishing. Stockingfoot waders chest high and wading boots with felt soles are the bomb where I fish in Wyoming.

Life ain't supposed to be easy.

Nope, didn't last a year. Caught them as a markdown closeout when our local Gander Mountain closed. Liked the fit but not durable for beavering.

I like them for trout fishing but use waders for trapping so don't know how they'd hold up there. 3rd year this year for mine.

There comes a point liberalism has gone too far, we're past that point.

Crap!,.all I can say about them. Put them to good use,..you'll see. Maybe your third pair stuffed behind your seat seems adequate .

Did you get the ones made for wading shoes?…lol
I got a pair for $100 or so a while back. Tried em on and they seem comfortable. Hopefully try them out this weekend!
Ice is going a lot quicker than I thought and buddy saw a beaver 2 days ago.

I use there 3ply canvas hip boots for trapping. They have a steel arch support. Available with either felt or ribbed soles. Comfortable and durable.

I did not get that style... Just regular hip boots.... The only style they had and I needed them immediately... Your style may be better!!!! I think a majority of their hip/waders are poor . Good luck with them!

I've not tried their hip boots, but have tried a couple different models of their chest waders. All leaking within one season of use. Junk, in my opinion

Gotta live up to the nickname...

THIS A got pair a couple years ago when I needed a pair now and our local Dunhams had some. I didn't pay much for them but they had no support in them and my feet hurt in just a short while wearing them . I didn't use them long so I don't know how long they last. After using them I will never buy anything Frogg Togg.

I bought mine oversized and stuffed felt liners in them from pack boots. I don’t get a lot of use out of them so they work ok for me that way.

Was born in a Big City Will die in the Country OK with that!

Company isn't far from my house, like to support local guys/gals but most of the products of their's ive seen or had isn't very good quality. That said, if your just wearing a rain coat now and then to a kids ball game or some such im sure those products are fine but trapping year round wearing boots, coats, etc. everyday for hours on end flimsy stuff just won't hold up.

I've bought probably 5 or 6 of them because they're cheap. Can't get a year's use before the crotch starts leaking and I don't trap near as much, in the water, as I used to.

I've tried on the LaCrosse brand of waders but I'd have to be 6'-6" to have them fit properly. I could live in them if I had to. I used the black rubber waders for years but they are really heavy.

I'm 5'-7" tall so what do you guys recommend for waders? Can you order them in a shorter size.

57 years trapping. It's who I am. Every day is still as exciting as it was when I was a kid but a little more work.

Just tried mine today, dry n comfortable. I should mention that I put insoles in as soon as I pulled them out of the box. I don’t think they came with any.
