An interesting sidebar, there are currently three gun control measures being considered in the Alabama legislature. And Dadeville is considered part of the Montgomery metropolitan, though it is anything but, area.

I wonder if we might see a similar aftermath as Nashville has?

Dadeville is a long ways from Montgomery. Small rural town. At least from what I remember.

There are two or 3 mass shootings every day in the USA.Just normal day to dy stuff.

If only we were required to get licensed to obtain a pellet gun and semi autos and hand guns were illegal we could be safe and defenseless subjects like our neibors to the north.

In Arkansas we clarified by law that you are not required to have a permit to carry concealed. Unnecessary law if men still believed that rights don't come from man. Unfortunately I don't know if we will ever return to that line of thinking....or maybe we will when we are in chains.

Not uncomfortable and every neighborhood we've been in feels a lot safer than most of the GTA and some parts of Ottawa and Halifax I've been in. I think a lot of outsiders who don't travel here with frequency are just ignorant of the reality on the ground.

Plenty of senseless violence in Canada that doesn't get media play. Spend a day in a bad Winnipeg neighborhood and tell me you wouldn't feel better carrying... it's ok if you want to call me scared. I'd much rather be able to defend myself.

The issues are cultural and I reject the idea that because other people are idiots and animals that I can't have nice things.

Ohio I believe has open carry laws, where you can carry a gun without it being concealed.

Does anyone remember how well stop and frisk worked in reducing crime in New York? In certain areas it seems it would do wonders.

As for age, I believe any crime where are gun is used there should be no age protections. I don’t care if your 12 years old or 92 years old. Brandish or use a gun.. your gone.

When I read about this shooting, I drew a conclusion that hasn't been confirmed yet but I'll be surprised if I'm wrong.
