Should of never been charged in my opinion.
I agree. He did do the killing, but it would not have happened if the people responsible for the gun and bullets have had done their job. The ones that need to be held accountable are the people in charge of gun and bullets.
I'm not a baldwin fan at all.
that is where the lines blur a bit , the Chief firearms guy had walked off set , quitting over the unsafe conditions and the production companies unwillingness to do anything about it.
the executive producer promoted the firearms persons assistant to lead and they may not have had the experience nor knowledge
the proper thing would have been to stop and make the set safe , a full inventory , ensure no more live rounds were anywhere on set , make the guns incapable of feeding and fireing live rounds as is the standard in hollywood film making.
you see because they were shooting the movie in rural NM and not CA they didn't follow the most commonly accepted and CA Hollywood required procedures for arms on set policy
they had gone out and made purchases of off the shelf live firearms to use on a movie set , why? budget , they were cutting corners big time.
then members of the crew were taking the guns off into the desert to shoot live ammo
there should have never been live ammo on the set in the first place , they again cut corners and knowingly neglected safety protocol.
so what is the company and it's executive producer , who also fired the shot , liable for ?
