Guineas. Got some coming but don’t know a thing about little ones.

Noisy!
They look after themselves pretty well-don't require much effort to keep. You'll like them.

Coyotes, red fox, bobcats and owls find them to be delicious. I hope you ordered a bunch of them. They like to free range. That's the problem keeping them from being eaten.

Neighbor had a flock of them that took up residence here. They liked to visit the front yard every morning. But like said everything likes a guinea dinner. It was a regular countdown each morning until there were none.

Wife had half dozen or so.
I HATED them.
( Have had chickens 50+ years, ducks, turkeys, quail, etc
All good.
Not guineas.

Had them in a 3/4 acre, fenced, 2"x4" welded wire, hot wire top and bottom.

One winter guineas started dying. Looked blown up!

I walked fence, no low spots, climb unders, etc
One trail in grass parallel.
Hung a few snares.
Birds kept dying.

" SOME TRAPPER YOU ARE!!!"

Few more sets, couple raccoons and a fox.
Birds kept dying.

Got a dusting of snow.
Walked perimeter, no tracks.
Feathers in snow.
And wing marks 5' wide over feathers.

Great Horned owl!

Good luck keeping them off your buildings and house. They are great watch dogs k-Luck K-luck etc. all the time. Neat birds they will keep the bugs under control and snakes.

They like trees to roost in, ignoring your best efforts to keep them safe, lol
owls love them.

Starting with chicks is best as they learn that home is where the heart is... I got a bunch of older birds once and cooped them up for a month before letting them roam...never saw them again.

I got a bunch of geese years ago from a local auction house. Brought them home and penned them a week and off they went. Next farm over called one day and asked if I lost some geese. LOL He had some big water and young growing wheat in some fields. I guess they found a new home.

If young, they tend to pile up in corners at night and smother.

They are loud and stupid. If you know that and still get them it is on you!

They are hard to keep from geting ate by everything. Like to roost in trees and are noisy. They make great watch dogs.. someone may be able to quietly take out your dog if they knew it was there but much harder to take out all the birds.

But the local wildlife will take them out for sure.

We had 3 show up on the farm a few years back. They didn't last long they never have seemed to for anyone I knew that has had them.

It sounds like they aren’t going to be happy in a mobile coop?

My wife says they are THE dumbest fowl

She said if coyote or hawk shows, everything scatters for safety except thye guineas and they stand out in the open screaming TAKE ME

I hatched some and raised them in a coop. Turned them out and they would roost in trees. Owl picked them off, one by one
