One of my sons spilled some wax on himself. It took 4 days to get him to go to the hospital. He’s tougher than his old man.

Looks like he needs another year;-)

OMG, I'd rather have Dvinke's nail. Good luck with the healing.

That looks painful. I hope he's doing alright. Burns have tendency to lead to some pretty nasty infections. Prayers sent for fast healing.

medicinal glue

I know the bottle says elmers , or whatever brand of school or wood glue

maybe on that large of an area still see the Dr

what it does is as long as the blister hasn't broke applying white school glue or standard Elmer's wood glue to outside of the blister , as it dries it pulls the fluid through the skin relieving the pressure and letting the blister skin lay back down on the damaged skin almost like a graft

cool the area first like any burn treatment for 1st or 2nd degree burn

if the blister breaks , treat it like an infection , no glue

but if you can catch the blister rising you can get it to lay right back down on many burns.

got a burn this morning small but blistered almost right away , put a little glue on it and it didn't even hurt in about 20-30 minutes much of the pain is the blister rising

great for if you catch yourself on the oven rack

He’s had a busy few days. He burned his hand Friday and they had a new baby Monday. I took him to the burn center in Indy today. They popped it, cut off the dead skin and cleaned it.

Looks like he needs another year;-)

I’ll remember that for the next time. It just kept getting bigger and bigger.

I had heard about it somewhere maybe a radio show about home remedies

any way about 13 years ago I was lighting my MAP torch , the igniter was not working and i was sneaking a cigarette lighter around the side , well it wasn't working so well until it did and then my MAP torch lit right into my thumb.

I figured I had nothing to loose , after running it under cold water , the blister was rising fast

well it hurt so much even with the glue on I had taken pain meds and had a bag of ice on the hand I would fall asleep and the bag of ice would fall off , and the pain would wake me up
eventually I fell asleep and when I woke in the morning the blister had laid right down and almost no pain I was working in the garden again the next day

the skin eventually peals but by that point the skin under has healed enough with out getting infected that it is much like an old blister from working or a shoe rubbing ect..

It don't take long. I had hot ashes drop thru the grate onto my hand when I was cleaning out the ash drawer.
I'll wait next time
