If aftermarket parts availability for three gun competition is an indicator then, yes.

For the money they aren't bad guns. Not a shotgun you will pass down to your grandkids one day. But they are simple to clean and maintain and function well for a few thousand rounds. For most guys that is 10 years of use or more. For high volume shooters only a year or two. There are parts available to bring new life into them at that point

Gotta live up to the nickname...

they have proven themselves in the 3 gun market as the budget entry gun

the Stoger M3K is the 3 gun build they make , it is one of the only shorter 24" barrel guns they make with screw in chokes

they oversize some of the controls for easy of operation

if your looking at a family heirloom it probably isn't one but as a tool to sling a lot of shot where you want it it should do well.

America only has one issue, we have a Responsibility crisis and everything else stems from it.

I have an older M2000 and don’t have anything bad to say about it for the price. It’s definitely starting to get a little tired but it’s seen quite a bit of use.

I have a m3000 I set it up for turkey 6 year ago now ww all have one they shoot very tight with a kicks choke. I haven't touched any of my remington shot guns 11 87 sp10 870 or the super x 2 3 and 4 just sit the gun is very light. Would I recommend yes run heavy loads through it then take bolt assembly out put it in dish washer dry good oil lightly u can take a emery cloth to the bolt carrier to clean it up and make it run faster

My M3000 is my go-to waterfowl gun. I live on the Mississippi River and waterfowl hunt a lot. I have never treated this gun, or any of my guns like they are some sort of priceless heirloom. In essence, I use it as a tool. Through mud, ice, dogs, chunks of weeds, and anything else I have thrown at, in, or on it, it just keeps on rolling through the worst weather I have used it in and has never failed me or jammed.

Some folks tend to be a little ego-involved with their guns. I don't, and never had a need to spend upwards of $1200 to impress somebody with a big name, fancy shotgun. It reliably kills ducks and geese through the worst conditions possible, and that's all I need.

I have a handful of firearms and none of them are what many call inheritance type weapons, but they have served me well. When I can't hunt or pass on my son will probably get the 8-10 firearms that he will then talk with my son in law who along with his father have a gun collection of 500 or so and he will be able to find markets for all that neither want to keep.

I have a M3020 set up for turkey and really like it. I got away from my 1187 because it was just too heavy to tote around the mountains chasing gobblers. I really like the light weight of the 3020 and so far it has functioned perfectly. I doubt I will ever shoot over 150 rounds through it. The only improvement I would like to make on it is find an over molded stock or at least one that is quieter when it rubs against brush in the woods. Those synthetic stocks amplify sound especially when it’s dead calm in the morning and you’re trying to close the distance on a bird.

I have a 3500. First 2 years it was a single shot semi a lot of times. Would not extract and would load a live round behind the spent round. Read of several others having the same problem.
Tried several things to fix it. Different brands of shells same problem with all.
Finally bought a new bolt head. That seemed to fix it. Loads less then 1 1/8 still jam but most 3 1/2 inch inertia guns are not going to work with light loads. I want to get a 20g semi but when I do it won't be a Stogoer .

I have 3500 model. Great Waterfowl gun. I filled the stock up with lead bars to tame recoil. It feels great after shooting the 3 1/2 inch bbbb. But will not shoot the light load number 8 shells. That’s fine I have other shotguns that will do that. MD

My Stoeger Uplander side by side has been my go to gun for everything from dove, to ducks, to turkeys and geese. 3” chamber, one barrel is a full choke the other is an improved choke. It’s the only shotgun I use hunting
