I admit, I am reluctant to travel. Seems like a huge waste of money to me. Nevertheless, I traveled to Alaska last fall and I would do it all over again, with a few changes. Lol. I traveled to Singapore and Malaysia a few years ago. Don't think I need to do that again. It was eye opening, for sure, but for the $$$, I would hit Alaska another dozen times. My lady is in Ireland right now. She took her mother over there. I reckon it was a "see your heritage" trip. I had no desire to go. What's y'all's thoughts and experiences with travel, be it domestic or international?

don't travel as much as I would like to
I prefer to camp when in the north , save the money on other stuff , never tried it in the south , a van could be real nice.
I would love to do a van with a bunk in it and pull the boat and go fish all over some time , that was our plan for my son's graduation trip 2 weeks follow the fish or go where we wanted , we did some , but being it was mid covid state parks were rather full and we needed a site every night because we have the truck with no room for 2 people to sleep and enough camping and fishing gear we had to set up camp then fish. so we had to set a schedule for the most part but we did modify it a little the 2nd week
I would also some day love to set up a pontoon with a little sleeping cabin and just work my way up and down the Mississippi.
I love going to little one of a kind local places to eat and especially local specialties

I have been to most of the Western states, the Caribbean a half dozen times, Canada more than that and I honestly prefer being at home. I will still go on my annual Canadian fly-in trip and I had always wanted to go to Alaska but I am not sure I even will. I am just not that curious about other parts of the world anymore.
I have nothing clever to put here.

I travelled fairly extensively in my 20's and some later on. I dont care for long trips anymore.I can tell you it is way better travelling, working and living in other countries when you are young and single.

I wouldn't mind going back to Alaska but it is insanely expensive travelling to Alaska because it's so far away.

I have traveled some in my life. The east bloc countries were very interesting right after the wall fell, the us dollar was king there. great dinner for 6 people cost $15. China was interesting...
Now I pretty much just stay in my county ...Have not been out of Kansas for almost 10 years cept for a bit in kcmo to pick up some shrubs. 2/3 of the usa in on the no-go list anyway.

Over the years I've been to 6 Continents, and all over islands in the Pacific. I wouldn't trade the experiences for anything! Hunting season I normally hunt 3-4 different states and love it. This trapping season I'm trapping in 4 different states and hunting the same.
My wife and I are planning to go to Korea in 2 years. I've already worked out where when she is going to see some K-Pop stuff I will be staying with Korean Buddhist monks at a temple, and will be practicing martial arts with them in the morning, with meditation in the afternoons. I'm super excited as I'm a Black Belt in Taekwondo and used to fight in Pankration, and this is an experience not many have the chance to do. We will be spending time at a farm learning how to make kimchi and other stuff. We are working on plans to go to Spain in 4 years. We are going to travel all over Spain trying regional dishes and wines, ending up in Morocco.
I've been shot, spattered with shrapnel, blown up, and banged up. To me life is too short to sit around and watch TV, and bellyache with your so-called friends. For me its great food, great booze and getting out there and doing what makes you happy.

Don't care to get away from home much anymore. Traveled while in the service enough to make me content to sty here.

My wife and I travel quite a bit. I'm typing this from Pensacola Florida right now. Got here Friday and go back home Tuesday morning. We won't have as many vacations unfortunately as I got a different job and started out at about 3 weeks of vacation instead of about 6 weeks. We try to get away every winter for 5 days or so to the Caribbean. We'll see if that still happens.
