Great pic. Do they normally only raise one offspring?

Great pic. Do they normally only raise one offspring? One or two is all I have ever seen and that is what they say they have. Two years ago, she had two.

I have never been around goldens nesting. I was around lots of Bald Eagles in the Aleutians. They nested on the cliffs. Depending on where they were sometimes it was easy to see what they had for chicks. Nice pictures.

^ In the ballpark of 3/4 mile plus. I also use my phone to zoom it in. That magnifies it again after I'm dialed in tight with spotting scope.

Those Pictures should be in an Outdoor Magazine somewheres and Prove that Hunters love the outdoors. The mating rituals of the Golden start early in February. I like to follow their rituals of mating and their preparations/repairing of nest with the anticipation of an eaglet coming soon. The egg or eggs of this one was laid mid-March time frame. They grow fast and furious and by mid to late August they will be taking to the air.

The way she is sitting on that nest, bet she is still setting on an egg. Very few times, when I’ve observed eagle family's, were there less than two chicks, but then, anything is possible! I do believe there is one more also. In observation through the years, I have only seen 2 eaglets a couple of times and all other years just one. I have pictures of them for ~ 15 years now. Maybe this is a first with two or more.
