The grass is burning and I'm getting tired of watering everything. No rain expected until mid next week ....... Maybe.

Yep, dryer than a popcorn fart here. Ground is cracked. Didn't bother planting the garden this week. My ground is a mix of gravel, sand and a little dirt. Would require too much watering from my well. I'm going to wait a week and see what the forecast brings

I think this is the driest May on record in our part of the state.
I got myself a seniors' GPS. Not only does it tell me how to get to my destination, it tells me why I wanted to go there.

Same here as Kyle stated. With parts of Northern ILL and IA showing a lot of dryness, the corn market rallied about 30 cents, even with very low exports so now we are in a weather market for corn. Beans have dropped nearly one dollar the last weeks as the crop i Brazil was huge and China is buying their cheaper beans. They can grow beans for about $30 per ton less then we can or close to a dollar a bushel less. Really tough to keep the set plants hydrated. Note the link below showing the drought monitor for May 25, 2023. If you locate Lake Winnebago in WI and look to the right you will see a small yellow dot. Our home is in that area! https://droughtmonitor.unl.edu/CurrentMap.aspxBryce

A bunch of locations in eastern Pennsylvania are about to record their driest May on record; Harrisburg, Philadelphia, Reading and Williamsport.
Allentown, Altoona, Scranton and State College are all recording their second driest May on record.
Eh...wot?

I feel for you all in drought conditions. What you describe is nothing new in my part of the world 3 weeks without any measurable amount of rain is a normal thing here.
I hope you get some rain soon.

The ground is soaking up the moisture as quickly as it falls no major runoff this year even with the amount of snowfall we had, the creeks have not come up like most years. We did pull about 3/4 of an inch last week just enough to keep things green for a while. We will take what we get but don’t need the hail.

Rain was predicted for here last night, but it all went south of us. Some places got between 2-3 inches.

We got a good tasting yesterday afternoon. The skys got real dark and the wind picked up but still no rain. Guess I'll need to water my new trees again today.

We had a cloud build up, got dark, some thunder and a couple lightning flashes and not a drop. Just not enough moisture in the air. Supposed to do the same thing today but mostly 50-100 miles west of us.
Bryce Driving home I saw that cloud bank/anvil head forming. Heard thunder, thought we'd get some rain. Stayed west of Winnebago. 10 day forecast here has it cooling some next week, but still dry as a popcorn fart for here.
