Morning all, just passing this message along from the NTA Facebook Page.

"Members! There was an error on the Ballot Return Envelopes. The zip code is incorrect. Please change the zip code to 49829, so there won't be a delay in mailing them. Please share with everyone."

If you have already mailed your ballot there could be a delay if the wrong zip code was written. Hopefully your vote is counted...

Looks like a fat finger typo. one digit wrong replaced with a duplicate digit.

I've already sent my ballot. I had no idea what the correct zip code was.

I believe the best thing to do is resend out ballots , maybe printed on a different color paper

I do not see this even mentioned on the Official NTA Website.

I am definitely interested in seeing how the current NTA leadership addresses this to ensure that every members vote will be counted. Ballots already mailed may or may not ever get to the NTA to be counted.

We are working it out. Both Roy and I agree on what should be done

If the Post Office in Edmore MI. is made aware of the mistake they will be able to watch for and get the incorrect ballots to the proper address In good time if received there in good time.

The Post Office deals with things like this on a regular basis. It is not as rare as one would think.

Do change the Zip if you have not mailed yours yet.

And maybe this time around the NTA can use their postage meter to cover the stamp.
Just so happened I got two organizations sending me ballots yesterday. One made an effort to include a metered, self addressed envelope. And the NTA wonders why their voting returns are so low!

I sent mind off monday hope it gets to where it belongs.

Not all of us are made of money, I'm not the one that created this FUBAR, I paid postage once already! Now if it not an issue for Butcher, perhaps you want to contribute to the postage fund???

I have received an NTA Alert email explaining the initial error and the new ballot mailing.

Dear NTA Member,

In the recent ballots sent out to NTA members for the contested presidential election there was, unfortunately, an error in the return zip code. Our sincere apologies for this error. Accordingly, at the request of both candidates and after consultation with legal counsel, we are going to re-ballot. The new ballot is blue. The blue ballots will be the effective ballots in this election. Any ballots received that are not blue will be discarded. This new requirement is in addition to the already established requirements for a legal ballot.

If you already mailed a ballot, please complete and mail a new, blue ballot to ensure your vote is counted. Again, we apologize for the inconvenience. It is our priority to ensure a fair and honest election. Thank you.
