What are some special guns you own that you hope your wife and kids will never sell?

I have 20 gauge Model 12 made in 1946, the year I was born.

Big difference in a gun I'd never sell and one my wife or chillins' won't sell....

I have a Henry .22 lever gun that was awarded to me by NWTF at my retirement. It has my name and agency engraved in stock. Be a difficult one to sell for any of us...lol

Honestly I used to please emotional attachment to some guns. Example I like this one or killed this many deer or made this great shots with that one. Y have several I like for different used and reasons but they are all replaceable material items. Guess I'm just getting older.

Now if you asked what guns I plan on getting or would like to get that an easier question to answer. But other than a few for the kids I don't "need" any more.

if I want to stay married I best not sell my 44mag Super Blackhawk Wife gave it to me as a wedding present.

got some that came with the instructions , you can gift it to your kids or other deserving person but not ever sell

unlikely to sell much ever

I have sold a few over the years everyone of them were of little value to me as a user and each one funded a more useful to me gun.

Browning Light Twelve from my Dad.
My Benelli SBEII
My Winchester 1300 I got for my 12th Birthday.
All 3 of the Ruger rifles.
The rest they can do whatever with, but they better be on desperate times before they think of even selling them, lol.
My boys are like me, we don’t sell or trade guns, we just buy more.

I've never sold a gun I didn't wish I had back at some point. Therefore, I only acquire guns!

I have a Remington Nylon semi auto Apache grade 22 that is promised to my youngest granddaughter when I die.
I never shoot it. It's too fancy to shoot or take in the woods, but use it for show & tell every firearms training session. It's fun to challenge the kids to figure where the magazine is located since it's a semi-auto. Have a lot of fun with that.

Probably my least valuable one.
A Winchester Model 37 that my aunt gave my Dad when he got home from WWII.
Think she said she gave $8 or so for it.

Hate to even think about it,but probably my M1 carbine. Its not the most valuable but its been with me for over 40 years and while other guns came and went that gun stayed.Shot a lot of deer with it in my younger days along with a few coyotes. It hasn't been shot in years, its earned its place in my cabinet.

My Remington Model 600 in 6mm had best stay in my family. I have lost track of how many deer I have killed with that thing.

We also have a Parker SXS 12 in D Grade that belonged to my wife's Great-Grandfather, Fred Luderus. He was a professional baseball player in the early 1900's and played with the Cubs and Phillies. This gun was given to him by his Manager in 1917. That also will be going to one of my Grandsons.

I never divulge how many guns I really own.

Why should one even care what happens to tools once we are gone?
If my kids and grandkids don't want them, someone else who actually appreciates them for what they are certainly will.
That's good enough for me.
I am saying this knowing that I have a sizable collection of nice tools.
Many of the ones that I have, came from wives whose husband died. I didn't know them at all, but I smile whenever I open the safe.
I am sure that whoever ends up with them after I am gone will smile in the same way.
