Haha, nice.

There comes a point liberalism has gone too far, we're past that point.

"I'd like for them to try tomato gravy."

We call that tomato sauce, put it on pasta or make manicotti and lasagna with it. Some unenlightened Italians call it "gravy" but they're wrong.... grin

NO, not the Italian Sunday gravy of Italian sausage links, meatballs and short ribs simmered all day in tomato sauce with some sugar and red wine.

Southern tomato gravy is a light brown to medium roux gravy with either fresh or canned tomatoes mashed up in it.

Gravy down here is almost always roux based though corn starch gravies aren't unheard of.

So my question is, besides the Brits, who eats beans on toast? And why?

I love how the one kid says, It just works. It works all together. Who thought of this?

Beans on toast just sounds like a scene from blazing saddles.

I like beans for breakfast but I like biscuits and gravy better. I spent some time in England while I was in the Army , and got a taste for it.

You are killing me ADC!! Now I’m hungry!! When the kids were in high school. One summer we had a group of Ireland kids come here and we sponsored one. It was the best summer we ever had!! The kid loved our food and how we lived! We probably put 15 pounds on that kid!

I stopped in a local cafe in Harvey N.D. for breakfast back in the 90's. Told the waitress I didnt need a menu bring me a plate of biscuits and gravy. She didnt know what I was talking about. True story

Yep. Was in a restaurant in Ontario and ask for a plate of biscuits and gravy. Waitress said she had never heard of it. Cold country, I figured that would be a staple food.

You don’t count, lol. Grits and red eye gravy! We used to have a Sonic Bear back in the day that served breakfast and grits and red eye gravy was the breakfast of choice.
