Did you ever figure it out? Things could be worse. "Does your Husqvarna carburetor need adjusting, but you cannot find the adjustment tool of the same brand? You are not the only one having this problem. Due to federal and state regulations, Husqvarna has no permission to make carburetor adjustment tools available to the public. But let our team share the marketplaces we discovered where you could find the adjustment tools for a Husqvarna carburetor." Who is John Galt? That's your EPA at work. Carb suppose to be adjusted by a registered mechanic only. Some of those carb adjustment tools are available on Amazon. Also, a friend told me that if you take a empty .22 case and jam it over the adjustment hi-lo screws it will bite into the screw enough to back it out. Then you can take a dremel tool and cut a screw head slot in the adjustment screw.

Hi! I'm from the government and here to help! It is endless. I pollute more because I can't lean it out. As if Chainsaw pollution even matters.

Did you ever figure it out?
Maybe. I have it all disassembled. The piston looks fine. I can even read the writing on it. The carb boot looks pristine. The impulse line has two small holes about the size of #6 shot. I am hoping that is the problem. It may be a bigger problem finding the correct impulse line to replace it.

I have an 032, but don't remember changing the impulse line. The 026 several times, until I stopped using those stihl black accordion lines and just replaced it with straight fuel line.

If you can fix a sick helicopter with rotor wash, I figgered you'd make that old Stihl run like a Husky.

I have nothing clever to put here.

I like to tell folks who have a dilemma or difficult question, "I have people for that". Then I come here and solve the problem. I do miss BuckNE for all the nuclear physics issues we have.

I certainly had my doubts ! If it makes you feel any better I was betting against you. Mike A blind hog finds an Acorn once in awhile!
