Some people just don’t realize what they’re doing, city kids venturing out, never gone 100kph before. I sometimes pretend like I’m trying to get something off the passenger seat and touch the gravel shoulder. Works most of the time. When they don’t back off and eventually pass, it’s usually a little girl driving.

So 4 years ago I just bought my new Dodge Ram Hemi. I use it for pulling my Horse Trailer. I was getting on the Interstate 64 from interstate 77and had to stop as the traffic was stopped. Unfortunately the lady in the Caravan behind me was on her Cell reading a text and never touched the Brakes. She drove that Mini Van clear up under the back of truck and lifted my back tires off of the ground. I HATE CELL PHONES and TEXTING WHEN DRIVING with a passion!!!

I crashed a truck in 06. Was making a left turn pulling a 45 foot hopper bottom off a two lane hwy onto a couty road. Western KS maybe 20 miles from the CO border. Seen the other truck behind me a quarter mile or so but did not see how fast he was going. Two pickups at the stop sign of the county road. Not to wide. Was watching to make sure I didnt clip a pickup when I heard something and stopped. So instead of getting hit in the passenger door he took the front of truck off with his trailer. Knocked his trailer tandems off. Instead of going right into a wheat field, inspite of my left turn signal, he went left.
Highway patrol took us both about 20 miles to a hospital for a drug and alcohol test. He went about three hours before he would pee in the cup. When we got back to the trucks he got arrested. I know they searched my truck from the way was stuff was moved around. I grabbed my suitcase and the cop took me to a motel.
Next day a tow truck brought me another tractor and I hooked up to the undamaged trailer.
Lots lots lots better to avoid accidents and your not going to change the way they drive no matter what you do.

I used to carry one of those little milk boxes of Bb’s in my truck and if I had one really aggravating me I’d toss a handful up in the air out the window. Had a motorcycle rider that tailgated everybody around here but I broke him from following me too close. I had further ammo if ever needed. I think you ought to go to jail over that…..get a grip man….

Interesting to see how many people are willing to break the law or do damage to someones vehicle just because that person may be in a hurry to get somewhere, or just may want to to drive faster than them. These comments say a lot.
Ol dad But on the other hand the ones in a hurry put other at risk but no way I’d do them any harm but I do see both sides to a point.

I’m with Law Dog. I see both sides, but only to a point. Once you start slinging BB’s out the window at people, you are on the wrong and the law should deal with you…

Can't go anywhere these days without somebody on my back bumper. I'm already over the speed limit myself........so what is to be gained by this? I'm not going to go faster and you won't get there sooner. So why do it? because they think they are more important than you. gotta teach em different, I am happy to do that.

Back when, all the drivers ed stuff addressed following cars, and it was one car length for every 10 mph. These days, it's one car length no mater how fast you are going. Nobody's reaction time is good enough to avoid rear ending the car in front of you if it comes to a fast stop. I don't understand the comfort level of those doing it. My pucker factor gets running pretty high at close range.
On the interstate, they do it to "nudge" you to the side to get you out of their way. Never mine I'm already doing between 75 and 80 in a 70 mph speed zone. In some cases, they will get up close, like less than 10 feet. Have had guys pass me on the shoulder......or pass using the off ramp, then cut me off coming back on in front of me. All while over the speed limit.
It's as if they have a death wish.

Lots of clueless drivers today on the roads living in a bubble clueless to the flow of traffic they are just as dangerous as the ones speeding and doing the lane changes. My peeve is the ones that hover in your blind spot for mile after mile then sit there when you coming up on a slower moving vehicle. People that pass you then slowdown for no reason or speed up when you pass them.
A lot is subconscious human nature they don’t even think about it much but like they either lead, follow or get the heck out of the way.

Its a real pain in a semi. On I35 yesterday I was in the left lane in Kansas City. Speed limit is 60. Doing 72-75 to keep up with traffic. Cars see a semi they want to pass. No matter what your doing. I needed to get across town. They will pass on the right, speed up to whoever is in front of you and slow down to that speed. They think the gap your leaving yourself means your going slower than traffic. Gets agrevating maintaining that gap. Its tempting to pass them on the right then put em into the wall.
