Many of those I trapped with are gone won't be surprised when i;m one of them Hills are steeper cricks are further down the bank mud is stickier and yes Lots got into trapping until they realized the real commitment involved

I would bet I have over 2500 traps, maybe over 3000. I have thought about selling a thousand or two, I will never use them all again.

WOW! I need to forward this thread to my wife. She thinks I'm nuts because I have probably less than 400, and that includes all the collectible Newhouse, Sargent and B&L's. If I go first she'll have a neighborhood garage sale.

I just hang mine up until it's worth getting the out again. When I croak, I'm sure my daughter will sell.

Trappers must be lying on all those surveys and here.

Lots of people buying when there are people selling.Old timers that cant cut the mustard running long lines like they used to tired of looking at all the traps they are unable to put into production anymore.
Those buying know that fur prices are on the rise and need more traps for extended lines in the coming years..
Also some longliners likely getting rid of inferior worn out,outdated traps for newer more humane superior designed tools to put into service with the increase in the fur prices.
I should sell all my old 120s that I dont use since I replaced them with better magnum traps years ago.
Lots of reasons for people to buy and sell traps.

Most in these parts jump in with high prices ( coons) especially, I gain ground and keep it by doing. Deer hunting and turkey hunting access is my pay or perk for doing the job
