According to my wife. FedEx was to deliver a package my wife was expecting, she was told she would have to sign for it when it arrived. For 3 days FedEx notified my wife they would deliver the package between two times and someone of age was to be sure to be home to sign for it. For 3 days we stayed home all day for the delivery and for 3 days FedEx did not show up. Today They were to deliver between 10:00 Am and 1:00 PM. My wife said the truck pulled into the driveway and she waited for the driver to get out and it never happened, the driver waited a few seconds and left without blowing the horn or ringing the door bell. My wife called FedEx and they told her this was the 4th attempt to deliver. According to my wife they are lying as they never showed up before today and then they did not attempt to make any contact today. Needless to say the wife is upset.

Almost that exact same scenario happened to my wife a few years ago. SHe watched the truck pull in the drive, then leave 30 seconds later. She called fedex and the truck came back about 45 minutes later. I met the driver, I didn't want to have to hide a body. I hate fedex. Problem is, the other options suck too most of the time.

I ordered a vacuum sealer recently that came fedex. I heard the truck pull up and figured I would wait until she rang the doorbell to go out there. My wife called me a little while after and told me the fedex driver was there and that they would leave if I didnt come out. I dont know when this new "system" took place, but it seems that they are unwilling to ring the doorbell. Maybe they had the wrong number for you?

I despise fed x too.

We have deliveries by Fed-X and by UPS. I have heard that they are going to merge and be called FED-UPs. Actually, we've had much better service by UPS than by Fed-X. Fed-x puts our boxes of frozen fish from Alaska on the porch, making certain that those boxes are in direct sunshine. We've had to dump more than one box of salmon/halibut/crab meat.

the only way you should get a fed ex delivery is signature , they jack you around but at least you get the package

had a lap top delivered 2 weeks ago , neighbor 2 blocks over got it and brought it to me

my kid was sitting at the front window working on stuff watching for the package and ding the email pops in your packaged was delivered , not here so where

luckily an hour later here is the neighbor 2 blocks over with the laptop.

so I call fedex , we get maybe 50% of fedex packages like this or lost all together if I can avoid anything going via them I do.
called fed ex tell her I got the email but it was not delivered here , they never stopped here had someone watching

she checks GPS and delivery time and says , it was delivered to another location in the area , I said I know my neighbor 2 blocks over brought it to me a few minutes ago
can I speak with the manager of the terminal that driver is out of , this is issue all over town they need to do a short training on how a grid works Ave run north south , streets run east west , they all have numbers and your drivers have got to be smoking something to not get this. so you might want to get them drug tested.

if she can tell the package was delivered to the wrong address an hour later and from the other side of the country why can't the driver figure this out.

well they have made it so she can't call anyone or do anything just take your complaint down so you were heard and then will be ignored , they do not care.

They aren’t on Trapperman but I’m certain they have a social media account somewhere, find it and blow it up.

My daughter bought a box of ziplock sandwich baggies and there were only two in the whole box that the bottom wasn’t blown out. She contacted them and let them know how long she had been a customer and why. Then proceeded to express her disappointment. That was all that was said about it. A week later stuff started showing up at the house. Her grandkids won’t have to buy baggies. lol

Fed ex is reliable and goes above and beyond here. Was in the barn yesterday and the delliveryman found m
e. He said I tried the door and nobody answered. I do live out in the country so maybe that makes a difference.

Fed-Ex sucks. last year I took a package to the Joplin, Mo. shipping center and sent a package to Burns Oregon. Here is it's trip across the country twice.

That's got to be a record of some kind for inefficiency for a shipping company.

A few years ago I had a huge box of reamers coming by UPS. Got a postcard in the mail that said if I didn't get there by 4:00 PM the day I got the postcard at noon, that they was sending it back to New York. Reason was they didn't know my address which was on the box and the postcard they sent me. I went like crazy 50 mi one way and got it. Told the driver when I got my next package what had happened and he just shook his head. He had been here at least 50 times over the years.

Try dealing with DHL, they are worse

lots of people complained about UPS also , I just happened to have a really good driver for many years he liked my dog and that she would sit and wait for him , he would give her a treat as he was headed to the truck.
he saw my wife at the co-op in town when she worked there would use the restroom and fill up on water there any time he was making deliveries sometimes drop the house packages to her at work.
same with the mail man

I know Fedex drivers that do a good job , they know they have a very high turnover around here and the drivers who are dependable have more commercial routes to keep those customers as shippers

the USPS is the same way it has everything to do with who your post master and delivery person is
my parents after almost 40 years in the same house and 60 in the same town within a few blocks got a new post master in town , he was just plain bad they were getting such bad delivery they opted for a box , if they checked their mail in the morning and a package came in in the afternoon the postmaster would send it back if they hadn't picked it up by 4pm truck left , he said if it says return postage guarantied then my numbers go and the USPS gets paid 2x
they ended up going to a private post service , sounds expensive but it saved them money when they go south for the winter everything is going to the post service all the time , they pick it up in the summer and in the winter the service has a list of what they want forwarded and what to toss, if there is any question the lady texts a pick of it and they decide.

that postmaster in their town moved should have been fired probably was promoted nd apparently things are OK again for their town.

Y’all folks got some bad luck. Our FedX and UPS drivers get out and shoot the breeze. Heck, my wife showed me a video off the camera of the UPS driver shooting basketball with the boys after delivering a package when I wasn’t home. Y’all need to start giving out Christmas cookies during Christmas, lol.

GreenCountyPete nailed it.... comes down to your individual driver. Some care about the job they do, some dont give a rat's (This word is unacceptable on Trapperman) its just a paycheck to them. I ship a lot with FedEx but I deliver to the closest FedEx pickup location and always ask for a receipt for all boxes I drop off. So far I can't complain.

I do not have a problem with Fed Ex but the USPS is a world class POS!!! They do not care at all.

slightly as a company , only by the force of the union , as much as unions can make a mess of things , Teamsters do help some at UPS

my dad was a driver for UPS and I was just talking with my bank teller a former UPS driver for long enough to get vested in his pension

we got a dog from a lady in Walworth county last year , she still remembered my dad and he hasn't worked for UPS since 1994 when he got injured on the job.

it is 95% the driver 5% the company always has been probably always will be ,

true in nearly every case how you feel about the product or company has the most to do with the person who you work with , sales & service.
now a company can build an environment where they hire great people , train them well , give them all the tools they need to be there for the customer. or they can make it near impossible to talk to anyone and when you do hot zero enough times and get someone , they are a phone answerer only and the company doesn't give a rip about them all they can do is type in a ticket and submit it to the never be seen again.

companies can and do change this , by hiring good people , training them well and building a corporate culture where the customer facing employee is encouraged to help

it does happen sometimes.

Forgot to mention, when we see either eating lunch in our little town we discreetly pay for their lunch. It seems it’s not to discreet or either they just figure it out cause they always leave a thank you note the next delivery.

funny my father in law retired from USPS dock tech and sorter , I can tell you there are people who care
bad corporate culture , he was working for 3 different unions in the same week some times , there was literally a line on the floor he could push a cart to one day that he could only push it to that line the next day from the other direction.

my mail man is great , I know 3 postmasters that are great and a few counter people that are just genuinely helpful

it is still your customer facing employee who makes or breaks how people view you

USPS doesn't do a lot to encourage this , from what I can see is good people who live in the community they serve wanting to help the community

Fed Ex here is really bad. Twice they drove off my driveway into a flower bed. Several times they’ve left packages at the end of my driveway. Last summer, they delivered a new Magnum XL Jet Sled…..left it laying against my mailbox, a hundred feet down the state highway from the end of my driveway. In spite of having my house number displayed at four places at the mouth of my driveway, I’ve had my packages delivered to neighbors homes.
