Anyone know about them? I am a pepsiholic.

I've looked into them but haven't taken the plunge. They are about $100 plus you have to buy the CO2 canisters to put the fizz in the drink. I've considered it to make bubbly wine.
Life ain't supposed to be easy.

What about carbonated water with flavor or plain carbonated water and add your flavor of choice.
Get me a beer please.

I got one of them originals. Pretty easy to use, getting the right amount of syrup to match your taste takes some experiments I see that they sell name brand flavors for it such as Pepsi and Mountain Dew. Once you get the flavoring amount right, do they actually taste like they're supposed to?
Just give me one thing, that I can hold on to. To believe in this livin' is just a hard way to go.

Anyone know about them? I am a pepsiholic. I have one and use it all the time. I get the liquid drink mixes from wally world. Not the stuff for the soda stream, that's way over priced. I buy the Mio and the wally world drink mix knock offs. Not Colas but just about every other flavor out there. I really like the wally world sweet tea. If you decide to buy one, go to eBay or Amazon and buy an adapter to refill the gas bottles. That's where you get screwed. They want about $11 to trade in a bottle. You get less than a pound of CO2 for that price. I refill them with the 5 pound CO2 cylinder from my kegerator, and it costs me about a buck.

Do you weigh them as you fill or is there a gauge on the fill hose?

We have one. Bought it several years ago. It was a novelty for a few months and we used it. I don't even know where it is now.
It probably saved money but it was a pain to use, clean, buy CO2 cylinders, keep syrup in stock, etc. We just slowly used it less and less until we put it away somewhere.

You just fill them until they stop taking CO2 You can't really overfill them. CO2 is not under enough pressure to over pressurize the tank. It is tricky to fill a CO2 bottle though. First you have to take the little tank you are filling and put it in the freezer for a day. Then you take the larger tank you are filling from and let it warm up. Either put it in the sunlight or sit it on a register or whatever. You attach the frozen little tank on the adapter and invert the larger tank, open it fully and then crack open the valves to the little tank. You will hear it start flowing into the little tank. What you are doing is getting the liquid CO2 flowing into the smaller tank, not the gas. This is the exact same process you do if you are filling up little propane tanks from a 20lb propane tank.

Thanks! I was worried about the over preasurizing but what you described makes sense. I might have to give this a try.
