Be interesting to see what the results in a side by side test would be. For me that's the interesting part.
Friend of mine sun rendered some coyotes glands this year to test. Be interesting to hear the results.

When gland lure is black looking, it's full of turds for filler. I've seen a few lure maker's selling that. Pass on that stuff.
You know it's good true glands when it's a light gray to a dark looking clay looking stuff.
Just my 2 cents
Let me sugar coat this

I wouldn't want to pay for a jar of turds, but I regularly pick up fresh bobcat scat, soak in glycerine, and mix later with good bcat gland lures. Makes a fantastic bcat lure..and wow is it catty.
Also makes your $25/4oz gland lure go further in addition to making it better.

Yes, I do that small batch too. That’s where I use the stripped out poop from the anal cut. I never mix it in s batch that’ll be on a shelf for years. You can cover the cat turds in glycerin and the shelf life is years. Smell stays the same.

good cat gland has an almost golden color

Scat, touch of urine, enough glycerin to keep it from drying out, great and simple lure that’s shelf stable for years and years.
