Bought a ZT about 6 years ago for $300 for EDC. Didn’t use it for almost a year cuz it was so expensive. I like it, use it for everything.
Bought a Zeph beaver knife for $120ish and a cheap victornox beaver a few months ago. Like the Zeph but haven’t tried the Victornox yet.
I you’re a knife guy, the spending can sure get outta hand, like any other hobby.

I think I gave around $100 for a custom blade made from a hoof rasp and then dropped another bill getting a hickey handle on it and a leather sheath with buck stitching. It has stood up to a lot of abuse over the years.

Someday I will have to make a rule that I don't check out any old knife display tables at a gun show. Someday...

I will probably also make a rule that I stay off FnT's website. Like I say, someday...

I am cheap and never have wanted to pay much for anything but I did spend $75.00 for the Cutco at a thrift shop. I also got the Marbles in the middle for $3.00 at a garage sale. The anniversary Schrade on the left I paid $60.00 for at another thrift shop. The Cutco was sent back to the factory for a free resharpening and it is super sharp and is the most I have ever paid for a knife and I have a lot of them.

A number of years ago I paid around $100 dollars for a Dunn hollow ground filet knife with 61/2" blade. I just checked their web site and today that knife goes for $220.00.

I’m hard on a knife I have a pair of cheap Gerbers that I’ve been carrying around for years surprised I haven lost them. I spend more on a knife I’d give away then I would use myself.

I had a Benchmade combat survival knife for about 7 years. Never uses it much. Once when I hit a deer I cut the back strap out of it, it had a moll attaching sheath and stayed attached to a backpack. Last year I carried that pack with me when the boys got drawn for a military refuge hunt. I used it to gut a deer there. But when I got through their check procedure and where I was going to get it quartered and in a cooler it was gone. Somewhere during my 3/4 mile drag out I guess the clasp caught on some brush and unsnaped allowing it to fall out.

One thing for me is often I like a knife but not it's sheath so end up not buying it.

I would spend maybe 300 on special knife . My every day carry is a Kershaw Emerson. It's cheap enough I can use and abuse it. Lose or break it and I'm not going to cry about it. I try to stay around 50 to100$ on edc for that reasion. And naturally I end up geting a new one not when they get lost or broken but after so many years the lock gets wore out and bladed get wobbly and or won't stay locked. Cheap knife I seem to have forever expensive ones get lost or broken.

I buy and sell LOTS of knives.

Bought a $250,00 Wusthof chef's knife for $2.50, in mint condition, and gave it to my son. grin
