Let's talk after shave. I'm looking for the old time smells that the older men use. Last time I went to the barber he told me I was looking for old bay rum, I ordered it from Amazon and I got in it smells ok but it wasn't what I was looking for any one got in suggestions?? Figured the shave master nessy would have some in put. What's your guys favorite. I've used old spice, electa shave, brute still not what I'm wanting.

I know nothing about after shave but that and old spice are what my father in law used so if your looking for old , he fits that

I haven't shaved in 25 years , nor do I use any scents , interesting I can tell when people who do walk into the office from 30 feet away

Funny you bring this up,I was just telling the wife I needed some and was looking for the 70's stuff I remember as a teen ager.I was thinking English Leather,can't find it anywhere but the internet and its pretty pricy.Was using Olgalla Bay Rum from Duluth Trading but after seeing their stance on natural badger hair shaving brushes thats out.Been using Aqua Velva,its all right but not what I'm looking for.

I can't wear any after shave products. My wife is very sensitive to smells, so scent free deodorant and shave cream is all I can use. On a happy note, she stays out of the fur shop!

Buck I believe at one time my mom did Avon and they had English leather I think that sounded familiar but that was many moons ago. I don't know of aqua velvet I'll have to check that out. Can you get that at Wally world?? Just about all I have to choose from in my town.

Lol work makes me shave, they have lighten up on the rules a little and I fo have a beard but have to keep it shaped up and no neard (neck beard).

When i was in highschool, my great grandparents used to give me British Sterling. It had a good smell.

I have a full beard, so I don't use aftershave anymore.

We do shave my head pretty often. Last Winter, I used a neutrogena shaving lotion on my head and rubbed some in my beard. After my next shower my beard and mustache turned bright orange. I had to wash my beard with white vinegar, several times, to get it back to mostly white and blonde.

Kieth my daughter has platinum blonde hair and she uses a purple shampoo for that blonde or white to pop. Maybe next time that happens be better than vinegar smell better for sure lol.

Aqua Velva,you can get at WallyWorld.Another one I remember and liked was British Sterling,I know it can be ordered but don't know if its available locally.

I am sure it would smell better. Something in the the lotion must have reacted with the iron in our well water. My beard and mustache took on a near professional, dye job, looking orange. It was a very uniform orange throughout.

I bet if you went to a mall, you can still smell all the different aftershaves. I haven't been in a mall in many years, probably well over 10 years.

I don't use after shave to often. When I do, I use Duke Canon.

If you are looking for the old barber shop smell it is Pinaud Clubman. You can usually find it in any drug store like CVS, RiteAid or Walgreens.

English Leather, Canoe, British Sterling, High Karate, Old Spice, Brut, any of the Avon products. :-)

Why you fellas want/need to smell "good"?

Nuttn smells more manly then "nothing".

Back many, many years ago when I used to shave, about the only thing i would use as an after shave was Witch Hazel. Always felt good to me and is dirt cheap. If I ever shave again I will use Witch Hazel.

Women appreciate a man that smells “good” without being overbearing. Same as a man that is intrigued by the slight fragrance of a woman’s perfume. The “manly man” natural scent is generally non “intriguing”(?) to many women.. . . ask them :-)
