Me and my Son went and picked some Saskatoon berries yesterday. Something I try to do every year, but usually don’t find the time to do. We found enough to make a pie today! No recipes! Wish I had more pics! You can’t buy this stuff. Home made and home eaten only! ![[Linked Image]]( https://i.imgur.com/RBNSjlV.jpg)

I love the saskatoon berrys-real sweet. Locals call them sugar plumbs here. They are fairly abundant, the bears love them.
Forget that fear of gravity-get a little savagery in your life.

Anytime Moosetrot!
If I can find some time tomorrow or Friday I’m going to try picking more berries. Life is too short to not enjoy food like this!

Man, I can pick berries wearing white gloves and there wouldn’t be a stain on them.

Looks good JP.
Are the blueberries ready up there yet. I picked about 4 gallons this week.

There are some blueberries out already. But I haven’t gone to my usual spots to look yet. 3rd week of July is when I’m usually out looking. About the time the Chanterelles start coming up and I get pick both at the same time.

I went and picked June berries tonight. They were nice plump ones over all.

I went and picked June berries tonight. They were nice plump ones over all. My berry crop fizzled his year. The chickens are eating them all. They got my blueberries, some raspberries, all the Potatoe plants and the low hanging Nanking cherries. If they keep it up my aim may be off when the next coon or fox comes after them.
I have nothing clever to put here.

I'd be eating chicken breasts smothered in a cherry/berry sauce.... even if I had to buy the berries to make it, lol.
Just give me one thing, that I can hold on to. To believe in this livin' is just a hard way to go.
