I thought you meant whole corn and pulled my last reciept. On 6/30/2023, I paid $5.43 a bushel for 90.36 bushels for a total of $490.66.

I wait and buy sweet corn, at its peak, in bags of 5 dozen, 2 bags at a time, at an Amish produce auction at 60 to 80 cents a dozen. The first high tower sweet corn of the year is much higher, usually $5.00 to $6.00 a dozen.

Horrible time trying to get it germinated with the dry spring. Very uneven emergence, so worked up and planted a 2nd round in each grouping. Hope we have enough moisture to get it out of the ground. One patch is coming up ok.I planted the first patch of early corn the first week of May and worked it up to replant 3 weeks ago. Have not seen any of the sweet corn sales trucks or stands at all yet near us so I am guessing many have been having issues in our area. Field corn is poor to very good also.

We have a local grocery that has sweet corn on sale now, 3/$1. $4/doz isn't too bad. Another store in town had it on sale last week $9/doz... confused

Haha, I believe that! Around here we just call the farmer and ask if they have any ready yet? The normal response is yeah, it’s in the field, go pick a few and let me know if it’s ready.
