3 weeks ago today,I was taking a break on my deck. I can hear my neighbor behind me yelling at the top of his lungs at someone inside with him.When the racket ended I went back in my house.
A couple minutes later I see a deputy sheriff,armed with a scoped rifle,walking across my front yard-headed for the back yard.I opened my back door and walked out on my deck.There was the deputy 10 feet from my deck,propped against my cottonwood.He turned and looked at me,putting his finger to his mouth to make sure I was quiet.He then moved to my oak tree for some protection and a brace for his rifle,which he had pointed at the house behind me-the distance from him to the other house was about 40 feet.He stayed there for about 45 minutes before heading back to his vehicle. I stopped him to see what exactly transpired. Seems the idiot behind me was threatening a female that was renting part of the house from him.
When the deputies arrived,threats were issued to them also among other things.In all six squads were involved and the instigater was hauled off to jail,where he remains--thank goodness.
My so called neighbor has been there abot a year,this is the third time he has been hauled off to jail.He did do 90 days for beating up hi ex girl friend.Now I knew he had a prior prison record,but I thought it was for running a drug house.Turns out he was originally arrested on armed robbery and kidnapping charges and he could have served 40 years if he had gotten sentence to the full term for both charges.Insead he was sentenced to 12 years and when he moved in behind me he had just been let out after serving only 7years.
As you can imagine,I am hoping they put him back in prison,to finnish out his original sentence.

As I was talking to the deputy,I told him that do to my physical problems--any physical confrontation would be handled by me in a certain way.

Intervened in 3 domestic violence situations in my life. Wish I could have ended all three prematurely. But stopped to violence was enough. Never could understand treating someone you care about or love like that. Still can't.

And you just let someone run all over your place?

Tom, I'm hoping you've got a 12 gauge loaded for bear in case those neighbors turn unneighborly.

Mike,funny you should mention being loaded for bear.My daughter has asked me to help rid her place of bear. I have more than enough fire power to help take care of the problem.
