Are some of these coins really worth what comes up on my coin app?

Cat Catcher - Date and mint mark are going to be very important on all of the coins you have pictures of. An “S” mint mark on the 1908 penny is going to make a lot of difference!

Most coins you can look up on eBay to see what they are selling for. Just remember you looking at 15% for fees and shipping on those prices.

Another quick resource looks like JM bullion:

Maybe, but the dealer will offer you quite a bit less obviously. I almost bought pm's but decided not to. I think there are better things to put my money in.

Mando I have got great returns on lead, copper, and brass. Just buy when it's available and cheap and hold it tell the mad rush panic buying. I made out well on some guns also. 400% on ammo and over 100% on some black rifles.

I've done very well myself too. Lead-copper-brass has much better returns than some other metals. I've gotten 400% too. I have one particular shotgun that I paid $1000 that is now worth $4000 due it's rarity and out of production.

All coins are a subjective matter according to the professionalism of a CERTIFIED, QUALIFIED, and ETCHICAL degree of the Numismatist. Some are good and some are better. Buying and selling coins MAY be different depending on greed.

One thing I can't understand is why would a company advertise selling ANYTHING if they can hang on and sell it for a profit later on?

Makes no sense too me.

swampgas chili and schmidt beer makes for a deadly combo

In today's markets things are too speculative. Sometimes it's feast now or famine later.

I bought some 1 oz silver Canadian Maple Leafs the other week. The dealer said random years but all 10 were 2023, nice and shiny! The premium of those Canuk mint coins was noticeably less than U.S. silver Eagles. I don't know if that's a good, bad, or indifferent sign for the Canadian government...

Because they can buy more now, for less than than they now sell it for.

The high price of eagles has more to do with the ability of the US mint to produce coins. The Canadians are doing a better job of trying to meet demand.

Eagles are selling for stupid money, I wouldn't pay it

I agree. I'm down to 3 a year just to not to miss a year. It took me a while to get educated. "Wisdom" doesn't come without experiences...

Its like baseball cards. A mint Ty Cobb baseball card is worth some money. The same Ty Cobb baseball card that was folded in half and got wet isn't worth as much. Everything in between those conditions is worth something else. Its a case by case thing. Someone would have to look at and appraise your actual coins. An actual coin guy on here should be able to look at them and give you an idea though. Good luck.
