Alright have to rant a bit. My credit card got hacked. Had to call cc company for new card, couldn’t understand a word they said, had to call the .com to see what was tried to be purchased first to make sure I didn’t recognize it, Couldn’t understand half of what they said! Called Capitol One back to verify I need a new card and ditto! Does every company hire these broken English reps these days? I refuse to work that hard trying to understand these people

Still great customer service in local stores, but when it comes to major corporations its usually not worth the phonecall.
I'm dreading the day our card gets hacked, I know I'll lose it on someone.
There comes a point liberalism has gone too far, we're past that point.

Here is your basic problem.... You are assuming that the credit card companies WANT to provide you with a useful service.
Au contraire friend. They are only in business to get your money. And if they can save money by hiring foreigners who can barely speak English, that is exactly what they will do.
Did you really think they were going to help you?!!!!!!
Pete Well this is just one case. But its the same for cable companies, Verizon, basically any service you unfortunately may need to call?

If that ever happens again, tell them you NEED to speak with someone in the United States. They will transfer you. I learned this trick speaking with someone from Dish network overseas. The number automatically goes to an overseas call center.

Maybe part of the problem is it's still hard for employers to find employees. So, they grab what they can get. Many employers are pressured into hiring minorities. There are some cases where companies need to have a certain percentage of minority employees.
We are living in a world where the intelligent must be quiet so that the no common sense people won't be offended.

they want the cheapest labor
cost of living in India is much lower than the US
so they hire a company out of India to take your call
America only has one issue, we have a Responsibility crisis and everything else stems from it.

When you can’t find a number to even call customer service it’s pretty clear the don’t want want to hear from you. And that’s a cellphone company I’m talking about. LOL True customer service is a thing of the past.

Visa was good when my card was compromised. $200 at a candle store, $300 at Popeyes supplements, and they froze it at $400 tennis shoes. They called us and told my wife that we must’ve gave the number in a text or email. Wife says “no, we’d never do that” Here’s me over hearing the conversation….. ![[Linked Image]](https://trapperman.com/forum/attachments/usergals/2023/07/full-56418-183521-img_0203.jpeg) I sent in an email to join MTA about 2 months previously……heck! I didn’t know! A couple months later our card was reimbursed.
