Seen Tom Tyree -fur handling demo at the Tennessee convention once I thought it was one of the best I’ve seen . Is Tom still around ? On the way home that day my wife asked me how does he skin and put up an animal so clean and you look like the Texas chainsaw massacre putting something up .

I also saw Keith Gregerson in the early 1970's. He was way ahead of his time as far as snaring went. I saw him again at Coyote Days that is put on by John Graham A fedw years ago. I ask him at Coyote Days what was the most bobcat he ever caught in a year and he said he had skinned 250. Those were Montana and Wyoming cats and does not include stole or eagle ate cats. To me he was one of the best snare men to have lived. He is still alive, gonna go visit him soon.

Curious what you consider the best trapping demos you've ever seen at a convention or rendezvous.
The first one I ever went to in the '70's I saw Willis Kent make a #3N disappear into a park lawn. I also got to listen to Keith Gregerson preach snaring. In his younger days he was he l l fire and damnation when preaching how to use, or not use, a snare. I'll tell Him Hi for you if want

Maybe not the best, but the funniest was Mark Jagger and Phil Brown ribbing each other during a fox trapping demo.
Eh...wot?

Minktoberfest is outstanding for demos. The guys and the knowledge is probably like Coyote Days- never been to Coyote Days but I have been to Minktoberfest. It's first class. There are so many demos I couldn't even try to name them all. I did like the Zagger pee bottle trick though. One year Mark did that and a kid in the audience said '' you're not right'' Everyone was rolling.
Just passin through
