Update:



After trying lots homemade recipes from Google etc....the best is plain ol' windex.


Second best was water with a little dish soap. Just a little, like a tablespoon in a gallon.





If I took the time to rig a pre spray - to soak the windshield down for a bit - before the wipers kicked in ,that would be the best.

Use a dryer lint sheet get it damp bugs wipe right off

try one of those body scrub poof things with Windex. the ones that are for the liquid body wash.

Cost about a buck, wont scratch glass and removes bugs, Last a long time but will get stinky if you don't rinse it out.

I bet Battery Acid would work but hard on the paint. I also heard that Vinegar was good.

Dawn powerwash, probably the best hand cleaner also and I know hand cleaners.

This is what I use, not homemade, but I soak the windows and let sit until the it starts to leave then reapply heavily and wipe off then redo with a light coat to eliminate streaks, I’ve had truckers tell me newspapers work with any cleaner, I had one use a soft sponge with windex.
