LOL,
It'd be a good idea!
There comes a point liberalism has gone too far, we're past that point.

5 in a picture
make you wonder how many more there are
how many good trails leading out/in
set for 15 and see what happens
America only has one issue, we have a Responsibility crisis and everything else stems from it.

Leave a few for seed. Let us know how you do and what you did on sets if you can.

I’ve never understood that statement. I mean I understand what the meaning is, but why? Do y’all really think someone could trap them out of existence. If y’all are really that good, please come South and just concentrate on possums first. After those are extinct then hit the coons. Apparently I and every other trapper in the State is good at leaving seed. My goal every year is to trap everything to extinction. The only thing I leave alone is Reds. And that’s because the coyotes have already done a number on them.

Nothing to do with the ability, but with availability. If you hadn’t noticed, grey fox #’s are way down in their historic ranges and gone from some areas completely. Due to what? I don’t know for sure, but certainly not to over harvest. Same as Red’s here, I’ll keep a beauty when fully prime every few years to be tanned. But compared to when I grew up in the 70’s and 80’s and participated in many hunts and ride alongs with my dad and family members we have probably 5% of what we had then. Farming practices, coyotes increasing #’s, mange, I’ve heard every theory by now. All I know is that nearly every red I catch gets a pass for now. We will see what the future brings, but I’m assuming cover and habitat here will never again be what it once was.. if you decide to leave some for seed, good on you in my eyes. I don’t have to bring every animal home, I don’t fight with an ego that has to prove any points. If I target an animal I’ll usually get it, if I don’t get them all I sleep just fine. Remember the vast majority on here are not on a payroll for elimination of predators from a high fence operation. We are trapping out in there wild, no need to worry about them all cause it isn’t going to happen. Especially if you are doing this for the fur value, fox is a poor choice currently for the value of their hide.

I like your way of thinking and with outdoor minded people like you new generations will enjoy what we had. Very well done.
