I learned my lesson and finally got the physical address on my new license . A night mare at the DL Bureau with the right " government issued document " to remove the PO Box and put street address . LORDY imagine what it would be like in New York .We cannot get mail delivery at our place so that's why I put PO Box to start with .

My brother went to buy a gun once, but had his PO Box on his DL, so they wouldn’t sell it to him. They told him they needed a “state issued document” with his physical address on it. So he walked back out to his truck and grabbed the speeding ticket he got from the highway patrol on the way there, which is a state issued document and did indeed have his physical address on it, and they proceeded with the sale! Lol

I had the same thing here. The road flooded two miles south of my house. Post office stopped delivering mail to the house and said I had to get a PO box. I went to get a new drivers license and needed three forms of ID. You could not use your drivers license as one or a military ID. You could use your SS card, library card, Passport and utility bills with the street address. If the utility bills had my street address on them, I would not have got them. I never had a library card and my SS card that they used as ID, says Not for Identification. I was real glad to get that over with.

Lol Sounds like Wisconsin. Our hunting and fishing licenses are considered "state issued documents" but there is no actual address verification required. When you log into your account you can enter whatever address you want and it prints on your license. You can also use these unverified documents for proof of address for voting purposes.

I live in a place without mail delivery. Have a PO box. Good thing is there is no charge when your residence isn't served by the post office. Here in KS you get your license in the mail but its so common not to have home delivery, you can get your physical address on the license and the dmv will use your mailing address for mail.
Can be a real pain. You can not apply for a credit card without doing it by phone. Banks wont accept the PO box and mail sent to my street address isnt delivered by usps. UPS and FEDX will deliver to the house.
When using a CC online its tricky to get a billing address on record as different from the street address.
GPS used to not recognize my address. That was a pain too when UPS and FEDX went to it. Now some GPS will get someone to my door but still many wont.

I get my mail through a post office box and always have my whole life. These days it's a pain because I never now how packages are going to be shipped so what address to give them. Lately the best plan has been to give the physical address for the post office and then our small town post master puts fedex and ups packages aside for us to pick up with our regular mail.
My fear of moving stairs is escalating!
