Now, run along! The adults are having a discussion.

Why would you want to hurt me like that? C'mon, counselor, you're as easy to read as a cheap novel. I prefer Shakespeare.

So what's your favorite Shakespeare play, and why do you like it? Maybe we have something in common.

Mine is MacBeth, and I like the theme of good and evil, ambition and justice, mixed with ambiguous supernatural entities.

Most members noticed Mark June's dramatic goodbye. Has anyone else noticed Wolfdog91's seemingly Irish goodbye. He's been gone since the 21st of July. He normally posts several times a day.

Hamlet has its moments. The Queen Gertrude line, "Methinks she doth protest too much," is a classic and one some forum members might take note of.

But why do you like the play?

Laertes, the bloat king, the ghost, Ophelia...like a creature native indued unto that element. I had most of Hamlet committed to memory but I've slacked off the past four or five years. Henry V is another favorite along with Much ado about nothing. MacBeth...something wicked this way comes. Just not one of my favorites.

I have a volume of his complete works along with several copies of the individual plays. Four hundred years on and the guy is still relevant.

Do you recall that line from Hamlet and have you ever really pondered what he was trying to convey?

I don't know if running off borderline Christians is a trait of an True Christian or not.... but if it is...

then Mark was most certainly....

a True Christian.

Luke 18:9-14
New International Version
The Parable of the Pharisee and the Tax Collector
9 To some who were confident of their own righteousness and looked down on everyone else, Jesus told this parable: 10 “Two men went up to the temple to pray, one a Pharisee and the other a tax collector. 11 The Pharisee stood by himself and prayed: ‘God, I thank you that I am not like other people—robbers, evildoers, adulterers—or even like this tax collector. 12 I fast twice a week and give a tenth of all I get.’

13 “But the tax collector stood at a distance. He would not even look up to heaven, but beat his breast and said, ‘God, have mercy on me, a sinner.’

14 “I tell you that this man, rather than the other, went home justified before God. For all those who exalt themselves will be humbled, and those who humble themselves will be exalted.”

Keith
