Major expense on waterline. Seem like average a PR boots a season no matter if don't do tons trapping . Have them on with a manual trans an clutch foot, used wear out spot above ankle on clutch leg all time on boots non rubber or synthetic. I have 1 pr non ins . 2 years old, 1pr of lite sponge rubber ins boots that are pro line discontinue. A year old that bought on sale a yr ago at dicks sport goods, that had some use last season . An pr Dan's a few yrs old that tread there but worn down. Tread get worn off quick . I think there ok for while, hang upside down on hanger in cellar. All can do . Probly 1 pr seeps, no idea how long hold up .when trapping no matter if land or water or in pickup. Hip boots on. U get in tall grass in ditch with dew an got be ready for whatever run into. An ready to go . Cheaper borderline quality boots at farm supply store . Many discontinue an what u get very expensive an of poor quality . Under $100. Pvc line upper an only good for fishing. $100 an pc junk basically for water trap . Be lucky get season out them if don't do tons trapping . I got some other prs boots lay around I try patch aqua seal. I have unopen new tube also an this flex seal tape . It works for maybe half day in waterline an start seep or leak fast . Is there any permant repair to boot knowen ? A Tire patch u like for tires possibly ? If so. Only work on rubber ? Or certain area of boot that patchable ? Or won't work where flex ? Have several PRS of anything camo heavy ins boots lay around . I think start leak where crease by clutch foot above ankle . There over $100 at farm supply store I just see, I put aqua seal an flex tape over it. It last less day . Otherwise I might as well put garbage

I really wonder if work by itself with no patch ? Cures in 7 days . Aqua seal is very temp patch . Half a day an it gives out an seep, I had years back given up on patch an consider boots or gauntlets junk when leak an patch an use as a spare that last maybe a check traps if careful . I carry spare gauntlets an boots along

Put a patch on your boots above ankle where you wear a hole, BEFORE you wear a hole in them.

There comes a point liberalism has gone too far, we're past that point.

Buy lacrosse trapping hip boots and get a tire repair kit. Or stop at any small gas station in your area and they will patch it in 5 minutes

Looks like you are screwed again, coonman !!!!! shocked

Seems like you should just forego boots altogether

and resort to "Waders by Levi or Wrangler" !!!!! laugh

Once you get used to the cold & wet it should

be business as usual.

Yes. Long lasting. Proper surface preparation is key. Clean dry and a bit rough

Next time you buy hipboots Dave, buy a pair from Stone Creek. They are close to $200, but they will last.

I’ve used cases of that 5200 on a houseboat but never thought of using on waders.Round or oval tire patches with aqua seal around edge of patch is my go to.Rough up area and clean with thinner or other solvent.Good luck this year Coonman.

Cut the tops off and use the bottoms for slippers at camp.

I just look boots farm supply store . I think that it but no clearance . The only boot I consider there, $89.95 plus tax, camo boot. 3 ply. 400 grams thinsulate. But nylon const. Not rubber. This what seem be worse with clutch foot with crease above ankle with wear an thin an leak. Anyone know if rubber or nylon a significant difference in wear or crease or leaks ? If they sell on clearance. I be more interested but close $100 with tax an unknown if needed . Cheaper mid quality boots are hard find an discontinue lot

No such thing as a mid quality boot. They are junk imports now, top quality boots arent made anymore.

Save your bread sacks...then you can wear them under your "good" boots. Or get some artificial insemination gloves, that'll give you a little more depth.
