He rents out tents.
This Amish sale which they put on every year to raise funds for their schools takes about every tent he has and all of the chairs he has. Takes him and his boy plus a couple hired hands 3 days to set up and about that many to tear down.

He made major money during covid renting tents put to schools and businesses that required open air or just more square footage to open with the crazy rules being handed out.
And, it was easy money because they'd rent for months at a time so all he had to do was go check on them a d keep the tie downs snugged up. Alot easier than weekend rentals which is the norm.

Just took these pics this morning at what we call the Amish sale. it started out years ago with 1 tent where they sold quilts and food to raise money to fund their schools. As you can see, its a major event now with donated stuff being sold most all day long, still to benefit the Amish schools. Just their food sales would probably blow yer dress up.

I've called in and trapped fox in the field directly to the left. Good spot!

Very neat. Is this a part time side business or his full time job?

Does your stepson set up tents at Cooper's Lake Campground, near Slippery Rock, Pennsylvania? There's an annual Society for Creative Anachronism event called Pennsic there, going on now, with many acres of large tents. There's probably close to 20,000 people there right now.

Full time Oreamnos, he makes good money at it.

No Keith, this is in Juniata county at a place called Muskrat Springs. (No kidding, that's the real name)
Its just down the road from me a couple miles.
