John C OP trapper Joined: Feb 2007 Posts: 1,203 Goldsboro, NC	With all of the recent fishing threads I thought I would share a pic of the annual “take the in-laws fishing “ day yesterday. We started fishing around 3:25 since no one wanted to wake up at a decent hour in the morning. It was hot but as long as the tide is moving the fish don’t seem to care. Caught using live shrimp on 3/8 oz jig heads on the bottom fishing structure(oyster rocks) edge. More Cowbell

John C OP trapper Joined: Feb 2007 Posts: 1,203 Goldsboro, NC	NC is carrying the population for the NE for grey trout. Our Pamlico sound is. A huge nursery area for all inshore species. Due to the overfishing in the NE of grey trout we are only allowed to keep 1 fish per person per day. The limit on speckled trout is 4 per person per day over 14”. The largest one o the photo is just a hair over 23”. The drum was 22.5”. The large steel ocean going trawlers have overfished our sounds and have put a hurting on our inshore fisheries while they harvest shrimp for a couple of weeks in the Pamlico Sound. More Cowbell
