It was my dog and I fest up after I met him.

Never took fur.Never checked another trappers traps.
Never had fur stolen.
Had a beaver shot by moose hunters once when I first got my northern trapline.
Went and had a talk with them and never had a problem in over 30 years since.
Skinned a few nuisance beaver over the years with birdshot in them-idiots.

I try to steal the coon traps before they have any coons in them, they are worth more that way.

When I was younger, a goal of mine was to see the Amazon River. I wanted to take a boat ride from the mouth all the way to its source in the mountains. Haven't done that either.

About 20 years ago I had a coyote in the crosshairs that didn’t behave normally (bolt into the bush at 125mph at the site of humans) . Turns out his foot was stuck on something….lol. Next day there was footprints to the bluff and the yote was gone. Hope the trapper got em.
Any sets out here along FG roads or where quads run I’d expect the sets to be gone. Marchand has to be the worst. Ask JP about FG 13…I made a couple beaver sets along there on a weekday but took them down the following evening and considered myself lucky they were still there. I’d still try there again, but the sets gotta be hard to get at…..if they wanna get to that old beat up 330, they’ve earned it and probably need it more than I do.

I took a coyote from a hunter that had shot it twice with a .243. I found it in my trap. Oh, wait, he found it in my trap and thought it was digging after a mouse. Two nice shots for 300 yds away. We actually became friends and he landed me some dozer work for a couple thousand dollars.
