The USPS is a total waste of time. I got notice from them that said if I was tracking something and needed it right away call and they would try to get it delivered. It's not bad enough what they charge to ship something, they get tax money too. What if it does not have tracking and I want it delivered? Just shut them down. I bet we don't average mail three times a week anymore and half of it goes to the neighbor two and a quarter miles from me and on a different road. Anyone else see them slipping beyond use?

Everything I send gets a tracking number not sure about the newest “ improvement” they came out with. When they are good they are great when they are bad it’s a real clown show. They can mess up every way possible and find ways to not take responsibility for their screwups. They would spend a $100 to not pay for a $20 screwup then they don’t even pay the priority postage back if it’s their fault.
It’s a total runaround they request a form of a claim then just deny the claim and keep telling you to reapply knowing they just don’t care.

My PO finds ways to not deliver the mail she sent back a Christmas card that was addressed to my old RR box number rather than deliver it. She said a sub would not know where it would go.
Keep in mind the PO is the size of a airstream trailer not some big complex.

my local post office is great Same. I've had some cow calf supplies from Valley Vet Supply this summer and the USPS kicked butt both times.
For those who don't know, Valley Vet Supply is like the FnT of livestock meds and equipment. They ship mega fast, have almost everything, and treat customers and suppliers extremely well.

In not sure I understand what you are asking. Inquiring about tracking doesnt make it ship any faster, it just tells you roughly where it is.

2 years ago I ordered some salt water fly tying materials from a shop in Florida. I was notified by the shop of the tracking number, excellent customer service. the package left Florida and made it all the way to Raleigh, NC , then Edenton NC about an hour away from me, it then went back to Raleigh, NC then Denver Colorado! Yes, Denver freaking Colorado!!! it stayed there for 2 weeks then somehow some near brain dead postal employee had his only 2 brain cells run into each other like a spark knock and managed to send it back out and I got it after another 2 week delay to my address. Aggressive Incompetence! Had a buddy work maintenance in St.Louis post office he said his main job would be to make signs for them to read the signs lol affirmative action at its finest

I have not received my bills or bank statements for the entire month. As a matter of fact, I have not received any mail that is addressed to me this month. I see the mail delivery person drive by every day and the neighbors all get mail regularly. I went to the post office to see what's up and they said they could find nothing wrong, but they would talk to the delivery guy in the morning. I watched him drive by again yesterday but there was nothing in my mailbox again. I put a note in my box with the flag up for him describing my woes and will see if he responds today. I asked at the post office if there was a notice not to deliver mail to me and they said no. I am at wits end at this point and don't know the next step.
I'm just happy to be here! Today I'm as young as I'll ever be and and older than I've ever been before!

Ours are great too.
A couple years ago the USPS were closing down some of the smaller ones around here, and the closest one to me is small, but they didn't close it luckily. Our mail delivery gal is super and the gal in the post office is good.
There comes a point liberalism has gone too far, we're past that point.

Is it a scam when you get mail three times a week, if it isn't dropped off at the neighbors? I got mail at about 0700PM on a Saturday a couple weeks ago. It takes up to five days for some things to go 150 miles tracking them. It is not even a service here.

Shipping USPS can be frustrating. I try to avoid using them and Fed-Ex if possible. UPS has a much better track record with me.
Our local office is great though. The Postmaster is a very nice woman who knows everybody in the extended community and she runs the office efficiently.
Quick story:
My granddaughter and I caught a dog on our fox line last year. I released it unharmed and we took it home with us. It looked feral; a border collie with very dirty, matted hair and it was skinny. It was friendly though. My granddaughter wanted to keep it, told her we had to try to find the owner first, if there was one.
I told the landowner and he contacted our postmaster who found the owner a few days later (to my granddaughters dismay).
We delivered the dog to her and she took it to the owner's place, a farm more than five miles from where we caught it. She said it had been missing for more than two weeks.
Eh...wot?

Great service here with USPS. Our delivery girl will make sure nothing gets wet if it doesn't fit in the mailbox. Toots the horn when she pulls up with a package and hand delivers it. If we're not home she has permission to put it in the mudroom. Also have no troubles sending mail. It must be where you live and the people that deal with your mail if you have poor service. Same good things to say about the UPS people here
