Vehicles fueled up. Generator fueled up with extra. A tank of propane to cook with. Some easy food stocked. Plenty bottled water. Loose items secured in yard.

Tommorrow, will fill several containers with water for flushing toilet.

Forecast to still be a Cat 1 when eye passes about 30 miles south/southeast of here on Wednesday.

Almost a guarantee to lose power for several hours.

I'm hoping it weakens quickly once over land, but forecast is to maintain hurricane strength all the way across and into the Atlantic.

Dad was supposed to deliver a load to Miami tomorrow. Now that's been cancelled and is going to be heading to Georgia. Have a feeling that will probably change too.

Forecast to come in about Steinhatchee or Suwannee, Florida. Those are 2 nice fishing communities. I pray it doesn't destroy them.

I am driving down to Hilton Head Island on Wednesday morning early, so I get there before it hits. Got to shore up a few boats of people that forgot that it is hurricane season and now don't have the balls to go down there lol Gonna be a wet drive down

Michael. My Father did all that time after time in the season. He cashed in big time to the highest bidder , in taking their ships or yachts out to sea during those storms.

The stories he told after a couple days with no sleep were legendary with the old salts at the pub afterwards.

He was in a league of his own. Everyone called him Chief. At the local airport too , where he flew his own crop dusters, stunt planes, and everyone else's planes , and repaired them.

Be safe. There aren't many at all, such as yourself and himself, that defy all odds and are successful.

There ain't nothing to slow it down in South Georgia. Only difference from being over the gulf is the sand.
