Have an SC friend who owns a family textile business. Business is soft so they are working a four day week. Employee turnover and morale have never been better. Textile mills do not pay great wages, but workers are happier earning less and having a three-day weekend.

5 10s 50 hours. When I worked in the logging industry it was 10-16 hour days usually 65-70 hours a week I'm glad I got out of that racket while I'm still young.

40 hours. 4 10's. Much prefer the 4 10's to 5 8's.

Depends on how shorthanded we are. Some weeks 40, other weeks 50-55.

I try to keep it around 40 because my overtime is a budget killer. Usually end up between 40 and 50.

1 1/2 to 2 hours a week.
More in the winter when I shovel a lot of snow.

regulations only allow me to work 60 hours in any 7 consecutive days

Only 5x8 unless something drastic happens. I am on standby every other week and earn about $1250 a month just to carry and answer the phone. Only been called out 4 times in the last 3 years, so I don’t mind at all. I carry on with normal before/after work activities like I always have.

if they have fri sat sun off they can either enjoy it or work a 4th shift some place for more money

lots of people are all about the time off these days

my son works 4 10s

some places work 3 12s= 36 but pay for 40 and you always have a 4 day weekend

nurses often go 3 12s 4 days off then 4 12s and 3 days off you need only 4 people to cover 24/7
at least until someone is sick

I work about 44 most weeks with on-call sometimes it is 50 or more but average is probably about 43-44

America only has one issue, we have a Responsibility crisis and everything else stems from it.

I worked 97.6 hrs in 6 days this week. Got home at 2 am this morning home for the first time in 6 days. Cleaned the barn out, and put up 187 balls of hay my hay guy brought, moved the chickens. Getting ready to feed some if the bees and go milk get lr eggsse and feed. Then it will be up early to take the boys squirrel hunting.

I'm sure they are not going to make any money working like that. Where I will build a business in my large amount of spair time and make between 120 and 160k depending on how much time I take off and ot I turn down during hunting seasion. O wait it's hunting season now and I'm maxing out on my allowed ot.
