Bought a bunch out of the bed of some dudes truck at a flea market a year ago, want to 4 coil, they seem a bit weak, but don't know what kind they are. Appear to be about the size of a 1/34 or #2
Anybody know what brand they are so I know what 4 coil kits to get?
Thanks

Think I’d swap out the chain before worrying about coils.

They look like sleepy creek or bmi traps to me. I'd just replace the springs with new music wire springs and forget the 4 coiling.

BMI. Get the smallest helper springs, the ones designed for a 1.5, or just replace with new springs.

Right now I’m having amnesia and déjà vu at the same time. I think I’ve forgotten this before.

Gonna be doing that. I had been using them for muskrats ... mainly but now that I'm planning on using them for land based (This word is unacceptable on Trapperman) I'm gonna add 6' of machine chain and a couple swivels.
Love long chains just hook that it up to a tree or a good size clog instead of carrying rebar and earth anchors and a driver or wire.

Head over to London for the OSTA trapping convention this week and get your stuff there. Along with all kinds of other trapping stuff to look at.

If you go to the OSTA meet ... Sterling Fur Co will probably have them if no one else does.

Doesn’t look like the spring pins are long enough for four coils, might need them too.
