That was a 5 day blizzard and I think we had three or four snow days off.

Our ranch house in Syracuse was drifted in up to the roof line
and snowfall total was 42.3 inches.

Some places in Oswego county got up to 89.5 inches.

I'm sure that was just a dusting to BOCO !!!! laugh

Shortens the school calendar. School can start later and/or finish sooner. Reduces food expenses and utilities and hourly labor costs. Reduces transportation cost and snow removal costs. Kids already have computers and teachers do as well.

Check in, then lose reception...it's not that hard, think outside the box.

I know some people that live the life you speak of. None are union. Who coulda thunk.

I remember going to school in Truckee California where it would take nearly 2 ft overnight to call a snow day

I also remember sitting in a classroom in Clarksville Tennessee ( lived there a couple different times ) , it was raining outside and a couple of snow flakes ( not the libtard kind ) appeared in the storm and all heck broke loose . Buses were called immediately and school was officially out for the day .....lol

You must have girly winters where you live.Back in the early 90s,I got TEN FEET of snow at my house in five days.SIX feet of that came in a 24 hour period.Lot of roof shoveling that winter.

We're smarter than you.
When we get a lot of snow we just pack it down.

It ain’t the kids fault, it’s the parents and teachers not doing their part. A kid is only as good as what he/she is taught.

Why not use technology to help kids learn at home when weather conditions make it hazardous for them to be safely transported to school to learn?

What could any person, who wants to see their kids receive a great education, possibly see wrong with this?

Education is vitally important for the children and our country.

I just told you-read it again.
Obviously get it from their parents.
If they have to stay home because of a snowstorm like you all said-snowflakes.
Just wasnt a thing back in the day but you wouldnt understand that, obviously.

So your school systems are trying harder to better your children's education, and that's a bad thing?

You do realize that just because the teachers don't have to risk their lives in bad weather, that does not mean they are not working?

crazy

Your kids try doing that to an old age pensioner they would rue the day they met up with my tribe of grandsons.
