Got word my cousin died today. His wife retired in August and they were packing to go on a trip when he started feeling bad. Stage 4 cancer. Only a few weeks from the time he went to the hospital until he passed. RIP Mike.

In August I found a lump on the front of my right thigh. Biopsy showed a high grade myxoid liposarcoma. Had surgery on 13 Sep and the lump had grown by then to the point my hand with fingers spread only covered 2/3 of it. Surgeon removed one of my quadriceps muscles entirely. No indication that it had spread, but time will tell. The leg is sore, but I can walk and go up and down stairs almost normally. I feel fortunate, as my cousin shows, things could have been so much worse. If you wouldn't mind prayers for Mike's family would be appreciated.

Lost a hunting buddy like that worked a good job retired died a couple years after that we did have a couple great hunts before he died. One turkey hunt in the Black Hills and an amazing once in a lifetime elk hunt we did together.

My condolences and prayers to you and you're family on your cousins passing . Cancer isn't anything to take for granted as we get older we need to go to the Dr for regular checkups and check anything out of the ordinary to be on the safe side .
