I used to own one but loaned it out to another trapper and never got it back. It was for an oval Canadian stretch and was made of plastic. You could either spray paint it or use a heavy felt marker and run down the lines. Anybody know if those are still available out there somewhere?

Paul sells them on his Dobbins site. they're not plastic, but a fairly tough cardboard of some sort

You can make one out of quarter inch plywood.
Just use the paper template to mark and cut out with a jig saw.

I have the plywood templates. they are common in this area.

Mn trapline products have them. Click on the ad above then do a search on beaver board.

Here's my nerdy way to make them.

Once you get a template, the big plastic corrugated election signs work good.
I told my buddy to take the ones from my garage when he was gonna help out boarding. He says “no, I’ll get the dimensions off the net”…lol. Spent an hour making one with a string and a pencil….

I have the wood one but they're so thin I couldn't easily mail it without breaking. That said, if you know of a way I could trace it for you I would be willing to do that. I know how many years I was mad because I didn't have one. If you wanted, I could trace it on to butcher paper and mail it. DM me if so so I don't have to check this thread.

I haven’t stretched to a pattern in nearly 30 years! Got several top lot awards from NAFA so they must have been acceptable!

You will lose size on some if you dont use the pattern.

Pretty typical, no templates.

The shape is great but the lines help with getting your pelts into the right size tarrif without overstretching.

FHA will send you the paper templates, just have to ask.
